Stop Worrying About What you Cannot Change - Lesson #423

It's interesting how much time I have spent worrying. Worry about this ...worrying about that but in the end it didn't matter how much worrying I did it would not change the outcome. My dad always said that worrying is a waste of time - I never understood that because my mind was always thinking, calculating, and living in the "what if" moments.

I think it is all too natural for us to try and change our destiny. As if worrying and contemplating the next move 4 moves will change the game if we pick the right ones. What I have discovered is that I missed out on a lot of little things that were much more important than the current worry. I was not enjoying the moment or appreciating where I was.

It took me 33 years to realize that my father was trying to get me to slow down and understand that worrying is not going to help but only hinder. I can make sure to decide things in a positive way and handle situations in a logical manner and with that I can be comforted knowing that the outcome will be ...what it will be.

If you cannot change it, if you cannot see what fate has in store for you ... DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT :-) Be present where ever you are and you will be surprised how things will go your way.
